Okut

Privacy and terms

Okut is operated by Gedik Labs. This page explains what we collect when you create a demo, what we use it for and how long we keep it. Gedik Labs is the data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698).

What we collect

  • Business details: the business name, the website or Instagram address if you give one, and the logo, colour, address, phone and opening hours publicly available there.
  • Your menu: the photos, Excel, CSV or PDF files you upload, or the text you paste.
  • Contact details: if you fill in the "Call me" form, your name, phone and optional email and note.
  • Technical records: to prevent abuse, a keyed, irreversible digest of your IP address is kept briefly in memory; your IP address is not stored.

What we use it for

Only to create and show your menu and website, and to talk to you about permanent use. We don't advertise and we don't sell data.

Reading with AI

To read menu photos and documents and to translate menus we use the Claude service of Anthropic PBC (USA). Menu content is sent to Anthropic for this purpose; Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models. Menu content rarely contains personal data; if your menu includes personal details (such as a mobile number), they are processed too. The transfer abroad is based on your consent when you request a demo.

How long we keep it

  • Uploaded menu files are deleted right after they are read. Files waiting to be read are deleted within 7 days at the latest.
  • Your demo site stays open for 30 days, then closes.
  • Contact details are kept until we have talked, and for at most one year.

Cookies

We don't use cookies. Your edit link is kept only in your browser's own storage and is never sent to us.

Your rights

To use your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK (access, correction, deletion, objection) or to have your demo removed right away, write to info@gedik.dev.

Terms

Only create demos with business and menu details you have the right to use. We remove demos that impersonate another business, mislead or contain unlawful content without notice. The demo is provided as is; checking prices and items before going live is the business's responsibility.
